Dieting can provoke anger

Dieting is seen as the next “quick-fix” solution for weight gain, the first one being exercise. However, many people believe that it is not an ideal way to lose weight as our body is a complicated machine that needs protein, minerals, vitamins, carbohydrates, and even fats to function properly. Dieting has always been a debatable issue among healthcare fraternity.

Dieting and anger – A new study link

A new study has revealed that dieting might help you lose weight, but the effort involved in exerting self-control over food can lead to irritation and anger outbursts. It can even lead to a behaviour that is aggressive towards other people. Researchers further add that people who keep an eye on their calorie consumption or are constantly counting their calorie intake to control weight are more prone to lose their calm at the slightest of provocations, compared to people who are not dieting. For example, people who try hard to stick to their dietary plan easily and quickly express anger and irritation when they come across a public promotion (advertisement) of regular exercise. The study also showed that people who chose an apple over a chocolate bar just for the sake of following their diet plan were more likely to choose and watch movies themed on anger or revenge.

Slimming pills – An effective route to weight loss

Slimming pills are considered one of the most preferred choices for weight loss. They are prescription-only medications that should be taken under the medical supervision of a doctor. Weight loss pills are primarily categorized as fat burners, appetite suppressants and fat absorbers. Xenical is one such fat blocker medication that prevents absorption of up to 30% of dietary fat. The undigested fat is then eliminated from the body by bowel movements. Xenical should be taken in conjunction with regular exercise and balanced diet to get positive results.
